Part 1: Slovenia Activity Holiday
Day 1 - Meet and Greet!
Our friendly guides will meet you on arrival and make the transfer to our base camp, close to the lovely town of Tolmin tucked away in the Soca Valley. Your hosts for the next 7 nights, will be the lovely 3 star family run hotel. After you welcoming dinner, your guide will meet you again and welcome you with an introductory meeting of the itinerary and some enjoyable games!
Day 2 - White Water Rafting
Today we will take you for an exhilarating white water rafting journey! Bounded by tremendous lush green hills and stunning crystal clear waters, you will discover the thrill of white water rapids and mastering the talent to negotiate them. As always, we will stop along the way for a swim, play water games and dry in the sunshine. Then it’s time to get wet again!
Day 3 - Mountain Biking
Today you will get to experience our fantastic mountain biking adventure around the outstanding countryside of Slovenia. This will give you the opportunity to explore this spectacular region as you wind your way along quiet roads through rural paths, plentiful meadows and gorgeous riversides; this is such a wonderful route and the perfect break for you and your family to really see more of this stunning country! As always, we will be having rest stops along the way where you will have the chance to cool down by jumping in the crystal clear river. So make sure you have your camera because it’s moments like this that you’ll want to capture forever!
Day 4 - River Kayaking
Kayaking is a great way to experience the freedom of flowing down a gushing river with your loved ones by your side. Once you grasp the basics in the morning, you will have the flexibility to explore almost every river in your kayak! Then in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to experience the thrills and spills of the pristine river waters that make kayaking in Slovenia an essential activity for any activity family holidays. It’s an unforgettable experience suitable for the whole family and will leave a big grin on your faces, and that’s a promise!
Day 5 - Your free day
Today is a free day intended for you to have a break from your busy week so far! We understand that on your family activity holidays you may want time to simply unwind by the pool with a good book! However, you have many options available if you want to keep going, and why not!?
Visit Lake Bled, paraglide, trek the Tolmika Gorge, hire a mountain bike, swim in the river, sunbathe, play football, discover local cultural history, folklore and heritage or simply relax by the pool! Day 6 - Mini Rafting
Today you will have the opportunity to voyage down the gorgeous gushing river rapids of Soca River on these canoe style mini rafts. The day is about enjoying yourself and experiencing something that you wouldn’t have done on a normal commercial package family holiday, so hopefully we can inspire you to continue with rafting on your next active family holidays.
We’ll be adventuring down the river rapids, stopping for fun water games as usual and swimming as well as enjoying a very tasty BBQ to finish off this brilliant experience!It’s really down to days as good as this one when you start to realise why Slovenia adventure travel is so refreshing and highly thought of! Day 7 - Canyoning
Canyoning is going to be a sure fire highlight of your family activity holiday in Slovenia! After a short hike to the wonderful Prsjak gorge, you shall begin your family canyoning adventure. You will begin by descending down various naturally made rock water slides, jumping off rock ledges, abseiling down waterfalls, swimming through the stunning crystal clear waters and basically getting through the canyon by any means!
This is a real adventure, like nothing you have experienced before and is the perfect way to spend your final adventure day in Slovenia! There is so much to gain from this unforgettable experience as you will be team building with your family, helping each other through the canyon and spending some priceless quality time together!
Day 8 - Departure for Croatia
After you final breakfast in Slovenia we must say our farewells as it’s time to take to the road once more for your holiday transfer to Croatia!
Part 2: Croatia Activity holiday
Day 9 - Sea Kayaking & Orientation Challenge
What you will notice about the Slovenian and Croatian combination family activity holidays is the complete contrast between these two wonderful experiences! After traveling from Slovenia, today you will be taken to Croatia’s stunning coastline to experience a fantastic orienteering challenge using GPS to find secret hidden treasures and a pirates nest!
This is a great experience to start your Croatian adventure holidays with the family as you will have to work together to solve several tasks on the way to the kayaking adventure including escaping quick sand! When you have successfully completed this enjoyable adventure challenge, we can begin our sea kayaking activity with time for a swim and siesta before heading back to the hotel.
Day 10 - High Rope adventure
Today you are given the morning to relax and conserve your energy for the lively adventure park and high ropes challenge in the afternoon! You will receive a thorough safety briefing, suitable equipment as well as friendly instruction upon your arrival. The high rope platforms will take you on a exciting and challenging route through the forest at three height levels: 2, 7 and 11 meters. These high ropes challenged are designed to test your nerve, skill and strength whilst entertaining you and leaving you with a thrilled exhilarating feeling of accomplishment! This challenge is undoubtedly a great family day out for you and your family to share this fantastic experience.
Day 11 - Free day
This day is your free day! Everyone needs a break every now and then, so today you’ll have the option of relaxing in the Hotel, exploring the local area by yourself or with your family or if you would like to do more, we have two suggestions for you.
Day 12 - Special Sea day
Today is your special sea day on the beautiful Adriatic Sea! We set off at 9:30am to Umag harbor to take a boat south to the wonderful fishing town of Porec. After a brief stopover we arrange a lovely fish picnic for the whole group. There will be plenty of time for swimming and snorkeling in the stunning Adriatic Sea before and after lunch. We will then setoff to Umag in the early evening for a siesta and some mouth-watering local food in the evening! This promises to be another delightful day on your activity holidays in Croatia.
Day 13 - Free Day
We know how imperative it is to relax and enjoy your own personal days out on your family adventure holidays, which is why we have ensured that you have enough free time to explore Croatia’s lovely coastline and surrounding towns!
Day 14 - Rock Climbing
Experience the exhilarating thrill of rock climbing on a spectacular natural climbing site located around the beautiful lake of Istria, Pazin. Your friendly guides will give you a good safety briefing, instructions and a demonstration before you have the chance to begin rock climbing! After this fantastic activity you will be able to relax and swim in the gorgeous lake whilst some enjoyable water games are arranged! For lunch your guide will have organized a big picnic, then back to the climbing wall for more fun. We will then transfer back Umag late afternoon for your farewell dinner at 8pm in a lovely typical Istrian restaurant.
Day 15 - Departure Day
Unfortunately it is time to say goodbye, and all too soon! All we ask on our holidays is that you bring with you a smile but on this day we understand that is likely to be the only day you will not be smiling. We will transfer you to your airport and make our sad goodbyes to our new friends; but with Green World Holidays we don’t say goodbye for long because we look forward to seeing you on your next active holidays for families!
