Q: Who are we?
A: Our family run company is led by two actively involved Managing Directors who are deeply passionate and committed to providing the ultimate travel experience. Our expert travel staff are equally enthusiastic about their jobs and therefore from the moment you book through to the day you depart you will receive the ‘personal touch’. Our local guides are fully qualified and are hand picked for their professionalism. On behalf of our staff & family, thank you for visiting our company and we look forward to arranging your next holiday.
Q: What is your company’s philosophy?
A: Our company philosophy is to offer holidays that we have personally experienced in order to give our valued clients the most relevant and useful information when enquiring about their activity holiday.
Q: Who books with Green world Holidays?
A: We have two distinct markets: Family adventure holidays and adult activity breaks. For the family market it is generally children from 10 years through to teenagers of any age. It is generally better for children of 10 upwards as they are then capable to join in nearly all of the active pursuits. For the adult market we cater for solo travellers, couples and groups: including corporate groups
Q: Is there a minimum age?
A: Some holidays have a minimum age requirement. If unsure call our staff. Also, minimum age can apply to some activities. However, if you have children younger than this age, we can often tailor make the program to satisfy the whole family. We understand that some families feel their children are big for their age – but it is a legal requirement we must abide too! Please respect this. We do design young family holidays, and these often start from 5 years upwards. Use the THEMES in the menu tab, to locate these young family activity holidays.
Q: Are these holidays suitable for teenagers?
A: Yes. Our programs are ideal for even the most restless of teenagers. Our guides are experienced of dealing with adults, children and teenagers and as we age match our families and groups they will always set the tempo of the days to suit our guests.
Q: What if we have a mix of ages?
A: If you have a mix of ages for example 14, 10 and 7 then unfortunately the 7 year old would not be able to take part. However some families still choose to come and parents will take it in turns to child-mind.
Q: Do you provide child minders?
A: No! 100% not! We design our adventure holidays to bring families together, not the other way round!
Q: Do you age match groups?
A: Where ever possible, we try our best too !
Q: Is there a maximum age?
A: The answer is related to fitness. Can you cope with the physical demands of the activities. Not sure?!? Then call our staff, who can talk you through the program, step-by-step.
All our activity guides are educated to minimize their impact on the environment while creating the holidays for our clients. The Leave-No-Trace principle is always applied. Our professional guides advise and teach the guests how to enjoy the local environment without impacting negatively on it. All rubbish is disposed of properly and guests are always recommended to carry reusable carriers for food and drink.
When planning our holidays, we always consider the most environmentally friendly mode of transport and transfer route, hence minimizing our pollution. All of our excursions benefit the local people – as we only employ people from the area. We consider it our Green responsibility to maintain and preserve the integrity of the areas we work in.
Our local staff, suppliers and guides are truly passionate about the places we visit and the sports experiences we offer. We are committed to designing and operating our holidays in a Green conscious way to ensure we maximize the positive effects of our tourism.
Q: Do you have a brochure?
A: In line with our green eco-policies we do not produce what would be classed as a traditional paper brochure

Q: Can we pay individually?
A: For large group bookings and corporate bookings, we expect the group organiser to gather in the money from the relevant party members and make payment for the deposit/full balance. We understand the difficulties of this procedure, so your individual account manager will correspond with the accounts department, to make sure you have enough time & flexibility to get the money in on time. For smaller groups we can accept individual payments.
Q: Will I have to pay for amendments to the itinerary?
A: Admin fees may apply depending on the amendments made.
Q: Are there any hidden costs, extra taxes when booking a Green world Holiday package?
A: In some destinations there are local tourist city taxes payable on departure. For example in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana there is a tourist tax charge of 2.50 euro per person per night which must be paid to the hotel on departure.
Health & fitness
Q: Tell me about the health & fitness levels required for this holiday
A: All travellers must be moderately fit to book and participate on this holiday.
Customers should not book this holiday without fully communicating their own (or any of their family members) health, fitness and behavioural issues which could impact their ability to take part in any given activity to their 1-1 sales manager.
If this is not communicated prior to booking, the decision whether you or any of your family members can or cannot participate on an activity will be decided by our operations manager or your local tour leader.
If Green World Holidays decides that an activity is not suitable for you or one (or all) of your family members, our decision will be final and without refund. Our adventure holidays are sold as a package not on an individual activity basis. Your safety is our number one priority.
- Not suitable for pregnant women.
- Not suitable for a person/s partially or fully blind.
- All family members must be able to cycle & swim competently.
Flights in general
Q: Can we book plane tickets through your travel company?
A: Yes. We are a fully bonded ATOL member. ATOL Protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom.
Q: Can we book our own flights and then book with your travel company?
A: Yes. It is common for our customers to book their own flights especially with low cost carriers. We will simply help with the rest.
Holiday information packs
Q: When can I expect to receive my holiday information pack [example: tickets, hotel vouchers, tour information]?
A: We send your holiday information packs 10-14 days before departure. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your 1-1 expert adventure holiday manager.
Q: What if I have a problem abroad?
A: For most holiday bookings, we will provide you with an emergency contact name/number, who will be able to help during difficult situations. This is not available for activity, transfer, flight ‘only’ bookings.
Q: Should I take out insurance before travelling?
A: Yes. It’s part of our booking terms & conditions that you must have ‘travel’ and ‘activity’ insurance when making a booking with our company. This insurance must cover all aspects of the booking you have made with us, and for the duration of your travel dates.
Q: Will your activity holidays be run by professional people?
A: Our supplier partners follow strict safety procedures and work with qualified and experienced guides. Our adventure holidays are personally inspected by us so we can be very confident in the services we are offering our guests. Activities and accommodation are all tried and tested by our staff, before we share them with our loyal customer following.
Q: Will our accommodation be in a safe area?
A: Yes. Our client’s health and safety is our total priority. We always inspect accommodation and the surrounding area.
Q: What medical history do I need to tell you?
A: It is vitally important that you advise us prior to booking your holiday, of any medical or dietary conditions relating to yourself or any member of your party so that we may notify local staff before your arrival, or advise if the holiday is suitable.
Share your secrets
Q: What’s the secret to your holidays?
A: No secrets here! We only create holidays, that we’ve personally experienced ourselves and loved. We offer the kind of old-fashioned customer service that instills confidence that your holiday plans are in safe hands.
Q: Do customers leave feedback or reviews of your holidays?
A: Yes, we take great pride in receiving them. Each holiday program has there own review tab, so new customers can hear the voices of our past & repeat clients. Please see the ‘review’ tab button on this page. On the home page of our website, you can also locate the general review centre button. But do note, that these reviews are not specifically related to the holiday you are currently reading/reviewing. Enjoy the reading, as there are many top tips & insider advice!
Q: How do I leave feedback?
A: Some holidays we ask our clients to complete a feedback form
Q: Can I send feedback directly to a general manager / company director?
A: All feedback is received by our product managers, not your 1-1 travel consultants. The feedback forms are then used for our staff’s monthly evaluations. The most praised staff during that month receives various rewards.
