Day 1 – THURSDAY
So it Begins
Welcome to Hotel Plaza Duće, your 4-star superior retreat. Conveniently positioned along the stunning coastline near the charming old town of Omiš. Guests can enjoy both indoor and outdoor pools, with the wellness centre available daily.
This evening, you’ll be treated to a delightful three-course dinner, featuring authentic Dalmatian cuisine paired with exquisite local wines. We are also joined by a special guest, a winery owner, who will share his passion for vinification and his unique approach to winemaking.
Day 2 – FRIDAY | Walk: 5 miles / 10 km
Secret Ways of Split
Our journey begins in the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Split, where the red-tiled rooftops and ancient Roman architecture set the stage for exploration. Wandering through the city’s narrow, picturesque streets, we’ll uncover its vibrant café culture and timeless charm.
After lunch, we’ll venture to an oasis that conceals a 15th-century church and hermitage cave. The rewarding views of the Adriatic Sea, making every step worthwhile.
As we bid farewell to Split, we’ll follow the scenic coastline to a delightful family-owned vineyard, recently recognized as the 7th most beautiful in Europe. Here, our gracious hosts will serve a sumptuous four-course meal expertly paired with their exceptional wines. The perfect conclusion to our hidden treasures of Split.
Day 3 – SATURDAY | Walk: 5 miles / 10 km
Coastal Bliss & Šibenik
Today holds a spectacular coastal walk, as we head north of Split to the Šibenik archipelago. Expect serene seascapes, paths scented with wild herbs and towering pines. The walk concludes at St. Nicholas’ Fortress, a UNESCO-listed Venetian stronghold.
From the islet of Školjić, we transfer to Šibenik’s enchanting old town. Enjoy free time to explore its medieval streets and dine in its excellent restaurants.
Day 4 – SUNDAY | Walk: 3 miles / 5 km
Waterfalls & Culinary Magic
Nestled in central Dalmatia, we head to the Krka National Park. Famed for its 17 stunning waterfalls, linked by a series of scenic wooden trails.
The gateway to Krka, is one of Croatia’s oldest settlements, Skradin. An idyllic town, aligned with pastel-colored houses. Visit the medieval fortress atop a nearby hill or unwind with a coffee on the harbor front.
From Skradin, we see how rugged stone mountains transition into green forests. The roar of waterfalls and sparkling natural pools create a truly breathtaking landscape.
After walking, it’s time for a very special gala dinner. Traditional cuisine, cooked in a very modern way. The Michelin style attention to detail and high quality ingredients is outstanding. Throughout, food will be served with handcrafted award-winning wines from indigenous grapes and local vineyards.
Day 5 – MONDAY | Walk: 4 miles / 6 km
The Red and Blue Lakes
Our journey begins in Omiš, one of Croatia’s most stunning coastal towns. Its historical centre, is a tapestry of narrow streets and traditional konobas. After an orientation we’ll climb to the top tower of the Mirabella Fortress. The viewpoint is breathtaking.
Next, are the Red and Blue Lakes of Imotski, two of Croatia’s most striking natural wonders. The Red Lake being the third-deepest sinkhole in the world. The walk is moderate but on uneven terrain.
After our explorations, we’ll be dining in one of the areas finest restaurants. Native grape varietals will be served with each dish. Fine dining, with unforgettable flavors to compliment the wines.
Day 6 – TUESDAY | Walk: 2 miles / 4 km
Empire Of Wine
Welcome to the heart of Croatian wine making, the Pelješac Region. Full of sun-kissed hills and vineyards. We begin in Ston, renowned for its oysters and fortified stone wall. Only second in length, after the Great Wall of China. After circling the town, we trace the wall to its peak, with panoramic views of the towns salt pans.
As we leave Ston, olive groves give way to vine-covered slopes. Time for a pre-dinner wine tour and tasting, at one of the oldest family wineries.
We must cross the magnificent Pelješac Bridge to our final destination, ‘The Rizman’. Voted ‘The World’s Most Beautiful Winery.’ Enjoy a guided tour and wine tasting session.
Day 7 – WEDNESDAY | Walk: 4 miles / 6 km
Into The Hinterlands
The Hinterlands of Dalmatia are Croatia’s best-kept secret. But one we must share with our guests.
The day begins in the historic town of Sinj, famed for the Alka horse riding tournament, since 1715. Beyond the town, we venture deeper. Uncovering a forgotten fortress, in a hidden valley.
With the walking over, we head to a country estate. The rugged roads reflect the slower pace of life. Before dinner, we’ll visit the estate’s barrel cellar to enjoy glasses of their merlot and zinfandel.
As good as the wine is, the food is even better. The highlight is their homemade pašticada and handmade gnocchi. This is rural Croatia in all it’s pride and glory.
Day 8 – THURSDAY
Departure Time
A final breakfast and we then we must say our farewells. We hope to see you return, there are more wines to try!
