Secret Ways of Split

Our journey begins in the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Split, where the red-tiled rooftops and ancient Roman architecture set the stage for exploration. Wandering through the city’s narrow, picturesque streets, we’ll uncover its vibrant café culture and timeless charm.

After lunch, we’ll venture to an oasis that conceals a 15th-century church and hermitage cave. The rewarding views of the Adriatic Sea, making every step worthwhile.

As we bid farewell to Split, we’ll follow the scenic coastline to a delightful family-owned vineyard, recently recognized as the 7th most beautiful in Europe. Coastal Bliss & Šibenik

Today holds a spectacular coastal walk, as we head north of Split to the Šibenik archipelago. Expect serene seascapes, paths scented with wild herbs and towering pines. The walk concludes at St. Nicholas’ Fortress, a UNESCO-listed Venetian stronghold.

From the islet of Školjić, we transfer to Šibenik’s enchanting old town. Enjoy free time to explore its medieval streets and dine in its excellent restaurants.

Refreshed, we ascend into the hills above Šibenik. Century-old dry-stone walls and olive trees line the trail to our next destination. A distinctive family winery known for exceptional blends. You’ll sample many vintages while learning about their winemaking journey. The family sommelier will guide the private tour of their cellars.

Day 4 – SUNDAY | Walk: 3 miles / 5 km

Waterfalls & Culinary Magic

Nestled in central Dalmatia, we head to the Krka National Park. Famed for its 17 stunning waterfalls, linked by a series of scenic wooden trails.

The gateway to Krka, is one of Croatia’s oldest settlements, Skradin. An idyllic town, aligned with pastel-colored houses. Visit the medieval fortress atop a nearby hill or unwind with a coffee on the harbor front.

From Skradin, we see how rugged stone mountains transition into green forests. The roar of waterfalls and sparkling natural pools create a truly breathtaking landscape.

After walking, it’s time for a very special gala dinner. Traditional cuisine, cooked in a very modern way. The Michelin style attention to detail and high quality ingredients is outstanding. Throughout, food will be served with handcrafted award-winning wines from indigenous grapes and local vineyards.

Day 5 – MONDAY | Walk: 4 miles / 6 km

The Red and Blue Lakes

Our journey begins in Omiš, one of Croatia’s most stunning coastal towns. Its historical centre, is a tapestry of narrow streets and traditional konobas. After an orientation we’ll climb to the top tower of the Mirabella Fortress. The viewpoint is breathtaking.

Next, are the Red and Blue Lakes of Imotski, two of Croatia’s most striking natural wonders. The Red Lake being the third-deepest sinkhole in the world. The walk is moderate but on uneven terrain.

After our explorations, we’ll be dining in one of the areas finest restaurants. Native grape varietals will be served with each dish. Fine dining, with unforgettable flavors to compliment the wines.

Day 6 – TUESDAY | Walk: 2 miles / 4 km

Empire Of Wine

Welcome to the heart of Croatian wine making, the Pelješac Region. Full of sun-kissed hills and vineyards. We begin in Ston, renowned for its oysters and fortified stone wall. Only second in length, after the Great Wall of China. After circling the town, we trace the wall to its peak, with panoramic views of the towns salt pans.

As we leave Ston, olive groves give way to vine-covered slopes. Time for a pre-dinner wine tour and tasting, at one of the oldest family wineries.

We must cross the magnificent Pelješac Bridge to our final destination, ‘The Rizman’. Voted ‘The World’s Most Beautiful Winery.’ Enjoy a guided tour and wine tasting session.

Day 7 – WEDNESDAY | Walk: 4 miles / 6 km

Into The Hinterlands

The Hinterlands of Dalmatia are Croatia’s best-kept secret. But one we must share with our guests.

The day begins in the historic town of Sinj, famed for the Alka horse riding tournament, since 1715. Beyond the town, we venture deeper. Uncovering a forgotten fortress, in a hidden valley.

With the walking over, we head to a country estate. The rugged roads reflect the slower pace of life. Before dinner, we’ll visit the estate’s barrel cellar to enjoy glasses of their merlot and zinfandel.

As good as the wine is, the food is even better. The highlight is their homemade pašticada and handmade gnocchi. This is rural Croatia in all it’s pride and glory.

🍷 Walking & Fitness Level?

Pace:                    Leisurely/Moderate

Terrain:             Paved tracks, forest trails and gravel

With most walks averaging between 3 to 6 miles per day (4 – 9 km), we view our routes as leisurely to moderate. The terrain will vary from coastal paths and cobblestone streets to loose stone tracks and countryside trails. The walks are not technically difficult, although there are some ascents and descents, so a reasonable amount of fitness is required. Please be aware, the coastal walk on Day 3 can be challenging due to the length and hilliness of the walk. If you have any questions about the level of fitness, please talk to our team.
